This is difficult because both candidates ideas are so similar. Both are talking about using American Resources either drilling or natural gas. Both are talking about new technology and therfore jobs. Both actually have a car challenge.
I actually would probably vote Obama on this issue because he is planning on using Natural gas somehow ,which might cause extra issues of how to use it, i admit. But I beleive should be less harmful to the enviroment around the source of gas than drilling would. Then his car challenge (this is going to make me sound like a scrooge) offers more tax credit than McCains. By the time it is in full affect I will probably be old enough to take advantage of it. Then of course his ideas of new jobs is great and seems like it will help. He has both long and short term ideas, which helps alot because we are going to need ideas that carry into the long term not just quick fixes that help us for only a few years.

The impact that we are having on the environment is long term......therefore I agree we need both a short term and a long term solution. With a huge emphasis on the long term. You also do a good job laying out some of the other benefits associated with his plan such as more jobs.
